Notes on the cumulative grade

  • The cumulative grade is based on the earned credit hours and the numeric grade of each course.
  • English and German language courses are weighted at 50% of their earned hours.
  • The grade of Basic German 4 accounts for all non-elective German courses.
  • The cumulative grade does not include the thesis grade.
  • Elective courses with a grade equal to or better than B count in the final cumulative grade; elective courses with a grade of D or D- do not appear on the transcript.
  • Courses transferred from other universities (marked TR) are not counted.
