What I noticed. In Full window, Direct 8,013, paid 8,250, Organic Search column 2,460.
How I am reading it. Paid is what creates the spikes. Direct is what holds the floor. If I ranked channels by sessions alone, I would promote Paid Social, and I do not think that is the right reading.
What I would look at next. I would judge paid on contacts and how long people stay, not on this volume column.
Full-window quality (unfiltered)
Default channel group for 1 Jul 2025 – 16 Sep 2026. Period filters do not split this table because GA4 did not give monthly quality for every channel across 15 months.

Notion Traffic Sources, March–May 2026
Named sources with contacts. Period chips above change the monthly mix chart, not this three-month table. Every transcribed Email session in the 15-month GA4 window sits in April 2026.

What I noticed. March Organic Search: 766 sessions, 12 contacts (1.5%). April Paid Social: 653 sessions, 0 contacts. Direct in April: 468 sessions, 4 contacts.
How I am reading it. The channel that bought April volume produced no recorded contacts. Organic Search produced the most March contacts despite weaker engagement (25.2%). I am not completely sure why Paid Social bought sessions and no contacts yet.
What I would look at next. I would not scale April’s Paid Social mix. I would land search and Direct on offer pages that can actually convert.
March mix: two sources, not one blended number
The March mix columns in my research appear shifted: organic 199 equals Notion Organic Social, social 168 equals Notion Paid Social, and paid 993 equals Notion Organic Search 766 plus Paid Other 227. Direct 600 agrees. April and May named sources agree with the monthly mix in my research if “paid” is read as Paid Social only. March paid column in my research 993; Notion Organic Search 766 plus Paid Other 227. Direct 600 agrees. Monthly traffic for March is 1973 sessions in both.
Where I would go next
| What I noticed | The numbers | How I am reading it | What I would do next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paid Social volume without contacts in April | 653 sessions, 0 contacts in Notion Traffic Sources. | We bought reach. I cannot see pipeline from that mix. | I would audit placement before putting more budget into it. |
| Email is an April event, not a channel | 228 April sessions equals the full-window Email total. | There is no ongoing email engine in GA4 that I can see. | I would not list Email as a standing acquisition pillar until I have more than one month. |
